Remodeling jobs begin as a question about who to hire

Somebody asks their neighbors for a kitchen or bathroom recommendation. You answer in that thread.

Why remodeling recommendations pass you by

The question is asked once, answered by three neighbors within the hour, and then buried.

“The recommendation threads are over before I see them.”

Alerts arrive while the thread is still open, so your reply is not the eleventh one under a settled question.

“I want work in my own area, not a contact list.”

Watch the neighborhood groups you actually work in for kitchen, bathroom, and renovation questions. No phone numbers are delivered.

“I am on site all day, not on Facebook.”

Set your sources and remodeling phrases once. E-mail alerts send matching public posts when they appear.

Do not buy leads

A remodeling lead sold to five contractors is a homeowner who stops answering the phone. Here, that homeowner asked their neighbors in public an hour ago, and you can answer first in that thread. Nobody else gets “your” lead from us. We do not deliver phone numbers — you get the public post and its link.

How you get into the thread while it is open

Neighborhood groups carry most of the recommendation questions. Reddit and X add public signals.

  1. Choose your local sources

Add public Facebook groups, selected subreddits, all of Reddit, or X keyword phrases.

  2. Describe the work you want

Use phrases such as kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, contractor recommendation, or basement finishing.

  3. Open the post and reply

Each alert includes the post, author, link, and matched phrase. You write and publish your own reply.

Where we look for remodeling leads

Recommendation questions are asked in neighborhood and parent groups, then discussed on Reddit.

Denver Neighbors
Owners ask who did a neighbor's kitchen and whether it went well.
Austin Moms

r/HomeImprovement
Owners describe the job and ask whether to hire it out.
r/Renovations
Plans are posted here before the first quote is requested.
r/homeowners
Practical questions about damage and layout turn into work.
“kitchen remodel”
X surfaces few public requests, but they are on target.

Questions that come with it

Do I need to connect my Facebook, Reddit, or X account?

No. LeadScanner reads public Facebook groups and pages, Reddit, and X while signed out. Neither your account nor ours is connected. There is no browser extension to install. Closed and private Facebook groups are never read.

Will I receive homeowner phone numbers?

No. LeadScanner does not collect or deliver phone numbers, e-mail addresses, member lists, or reaction lists. An alert links to a public post. You decide whether to reply in that public thread.

Can I watch the recommendation threads in my neighborhood groups?

Yes, when the group is public and readable. Add a public group link and phrases for kitchen, bathroom, renovation, or contractor recommendations. A free check on the home page tells you whether a Facebook group link is public and readable.

Does Starter cover Reddit and X too?

Yes. Every plan reads Facebook, Reddit, and X in keyword mode. Facebook neighborhood groups are usually the main local source. Reddit carries longer project discussions, while X produces few, but on-target, fresh posts per phrase.

Can LeadScanner post replies for my company?

No. LeadScanner never publishes replies for you. It sends a lead card with the public post, author, link, and matched phrase. You open the thread and reply yourself, with photographs of your own work if you want them there.
